Post Show Report Obuv. Mir Kozhi’ 2015. Spring
From March 17 through 20, 2015 Expocentre Fairgrounds hosted the international exhibition for shoes and leather products Obuv. Mir Kozhi’ 2015. Spring. The show was organized by Expocentre and Italian company BolognaFiere and supported by the National Association of Italian Footwear Manufacturers (ASSOCALZATURICI) and the Italian Ministry of Economic Development.
Participants in the 42nd edition put on display new autumn/winter 2015/2016 collections. Leading Russian and foreign manufacturers showcased a wide range of footwear and leather products keeping up with the latest fashion trends.
The spring edition of the trade show brought together 175 companies. Along with manufacturers from Italy, who traditionally arranged their national pavilion, companies from Belarus, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Russia, San Marino, Spain, Turkey, and the UK presented their new products.
Among the show participants there were such companies as Marino Fabiani, Giovani Fabiani, Baldinini, Fabi, Loriblu, Nando Muzi, Ripani, Cromia, Nursace, Poletto, and others.
At the exhibition representatives of retail chains, stores, wholesalers, and shopping centres from many regions of Russia and the CIS held negotiations and signed contracts with leading manufacturers. The number of professional visitors was 5,410 people (85% of the total number of visitors). The total number of visits reached 9,410.
On the exhibition area of 4,799 sq m exhibitors demonstrated visitors fashion collections of men’s, women’s and children’s footwear and leather products. The Bags and Leather Accessories Specialized Salon generated great interest. Leather products such as bags, belts, and gloves were displayed by the world known brands participating in the Salon, among them Cromia, Gilda Tonelli, Valentino Orlandi, Di Gregorio, Ripani, Arcadia, Renato Angi, and many others.
The Expocentre for Counterfeit-Free Exhibitions project, aimed to fight the infringements of exclusive rights to IP assets, was carried out throughout the trade show.
The Business Contacts Exchange, the Persons' Contacts Exchange (Labour Exchange) as well as the Customs Clearance Advisory Centre were available for participants and visitors to the show.
At the 11th Business Forum footwear professionals discussed the most relevant issues of the industry.
The event program featured seminars and conferences devoted to effective purchasing, visual merchandising, marketing, and logistics.
The Competition for the Best Website was an integral part of the program. Winners in the competition were labotini.ru and foreveryday.ru (FED ÎÎÎ).
The final of the 23rd International Competition for Shoes and Accessories Designers SHOES-STYLE 2015 took place at the Obuv. Mir Kozhi’ 2015. Spring trade show. The gala show and awarding ceremony for participants in the competition ran on the special catwalk on March, 19. Russian fashion maestro Slava Zaitsev congratulated the winners of the competition.
Spring/summer 2016 collection will be showcased at the autumn edition of the international trade show Obuv. Mir Kozhi’ 2015. Autumn. It will run from September 29 through October 2, 2015 at Expocentre Fairgrounds.
