The 50th edition of the International Exhibition for Shoes and Leather Products

The trade show is a key event devoted to shoes and leather industry best-in-class in Russia. It is the place where business met fashion. The show featured new collections of shoes and leather goods for spring/summer 2019.

Prime Minister of Italy Giuseppe Conte attended the opening ceremony, welcomed the trade show participants and emphasized the importance of Obuv. Mir Kozhi for promotion of Russian manufacturers to the Russian market.

The Salon of Bags, Leather Products and Accessories 

The Trend Tour of the presentation area "Trends in Leather Accessories" and participants' stands was organized by Trendsquire and Expocentre AO.

The Leather Accessories Trends 

The Expocentre for Counterfeit-Free Exhibitions project aimed to reduce the number of cases when counterfeit products are displayed at exhibitions operated online.  

Supporting events

The supporting program featured workshops on the following topics:

  • Social networks for fashion brands: running, promotion and trends;
  • Participation in the experiment on footwear labelling and labelling of first shipments from Europe;
  • How to learn to hear a customer and train sales assistants to do it. A unique workshop with explanation of techniques and training from ProFashion Consulting;
  • How to get higher in the search results and increase sales several times;
  • How to attract a customer to the store and increase sales using visual merchandising tools;
  • Global trends in footwear and accessories with regard to the Russian market.

Interesting and effective workshops of the supporting program brought together a lot of specialists in the footwear industry. They discussed key issues of business development and the industry's most relevant issues. The events were held by Expocentre in partnership with Yellow Banana, Trendsquire Bureau, SmartLines, PROFashion, VM GURU, and Dvigus.

The Shoes Design Festival of Young Designers 2018 was organized by the Kosygin Moscow State University of Design and Technology and Expocentre AO.

The next spring edition of Obuv. Mir Kozhi is to run on 19-22 March 2019. Location: Pavilion No.7 of Expocentre Fairgrounds.
