Manufacturers, buyers meet at Obuv. Mir Kozhi Spring 2021
The Obuv. Mir Kozhi Spring 2021 International Exhibition for Shoes and Leather Products opened at EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds. The exhibition is organised by EXPOCENTRE AO together with BolognaFiere (Italy) with support from the Italian Association of Footwear Manufacturers (Assocalzaturifici) and the Italian Ministry of Economic Development.
An area of 1,100 sq m displays men’s, women’s, children’s and sport footwear and a range of natural leather products, such as bags, briefcases, purses, wallets, suitcases, gloves, outerwear, belts and accessories of the Fall/Winter 2021/2022 season. The products are presented by 62 companies from Belgium, France, Italy, Russia, San Marino, and Spain. The Italian pavilion occupies most of the exhibition space.
“The exhibition held this year evidences the striving of the Italian Association of Footwear Manufacturers Assocalzaturifici to contribute through great efforts to the economic recovery and manifests our support for companies heavily affected by the global emergency,”said Assocalzaturifici President Siro Badon. “Another exhibition, which has been serving as an essential showcase for Italian footwear in Russia for two decades, bears a significant importance to us, since this is a unique platform for demonstration of the creations and know-hows of Italian manufacturers internationally acclaimed for the quality of their products and fashionable trends.”
Francesco Pensabene, Director of the ITA-ICE Trade Development Department at the Italian Embassy in Moscow and head of the ICE network in the Russian Federation, Armenia, and Belarus described everything related to the pandemic as factors hindering trade. However, the prospects are positive: Russian buyers who still love Made-in-Italy products remain loyal. “I highly appreciate the love of Russians for the Italian style, so there is a future. We will survive this crisis thanks to love for Made-in-Italy goods,” he said.
The exhibition will end on March 26.
